at a cost of over £22,000.00. I opted for the Renault ID colour, Liquid Yellow with the Xenon HID upgrade which is undoubtedly the best combination and makes the car more exclusive. As you can see from the photographs I also chose to have the subtle sticker pack added to avoid stickers appearing all over the car, which in my opinion would detract from the overall appearance.It has every possible optional extra available: Cruise control, Traction control, MP3 CD player, Xenon headlights, Heated electric mirrors, Limited Slip Differential, Climate control. | All the belts have just been changed (Cambelt etc) all the 07/57 cars will be due this and it is a considerable expense (£1500 from a main dealer, mine was changed at a local Renault specialist) the car was serviced at the same time | Tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 3, an upgrade from the factory Pilot Sport 2`s. The alloy wheels are good condition all round as they too have just been refurbished. | It drives superbly, with the reassuring whistle of the turbo as you accelerate through the gears. But the time has come to finally part with it, so it needs to go to a good home, soon!Right, before I start, the car is taxed until 31/03/2012 BUT because of the silly new law with regards to tax and insurance the tax will need to be claimed back if the car is not sold before Wednesday (when his insurance finishes). So if you want the car to be taxed you need to be quick!Ok - that out of the way, here`s the rest.1997 Renault Megane 1.6 AutoMOT until April 9th 2012 - the MOT last April had 78,173 miles. So the car has done less than 200 miles all year! This is the same for the last 3-4 years. It`s never been further than the supermarket in 5 years!Tax until 31/03/2012 - but this will be gone soon, so the car will be Sorn if you don`t take it quickly!Only 78,333 miles - very low for the year.Garaged every night. We were going to keep it until its next MOT to put a new ticket on it, since it flew through its last one with absolutely no advisories, but the timing of this new car purchase has brought forward its sale. | You`ll see from the photographs that we have maintained it very nicely. The interior is in blue/black, with cassette player, and main features include electric front windows and tilt & slide electric sunroof. | 7 stamps in service book, plus old MOT`s and receipts since our ownership. | I would suggest the car is in better than average condition for its year, but it does have some knocks and scrapes which should be expected, and are commensurate with age. | We have recently replaced the alternator belt, water pump and it has a new battery. The engine oil and filter was changed within the last 3 to 4 weeks. One particular negative with the car is that the key fob now doesn`t work, so the car has to be unlocked manually and the code entered into the immobiliser to start. We were going to replace the key but were told by Renault that a new key with fob was expensive and had to come from France and at the end of the day one has to consider repair costs against car value so we decided to leave it, which causes no problem. A new key can be purchased from Renault with the V5 documentation | We have priced the cars to sell so if you are a haggler or tire kicker please do not contact us. the only thing we have had done ( other than servicing, brakes and tyres ) is a clutch kit fitted by Renault in November 2010.Everything works as it should and with it having things like keyless entry and start, panoramic roof (Also Air Con), handsfree parrot phone kit and folding heated mirrors it still makes it a very modern car even though its nearly 7years old.It has a really smooth ride, and with it being the 6 speed 106bhp model its quite powerful too. The great thing about this car that with this power it still returns 60+MPG!!!Renault say the Cambelt should be replaced at 72000 or 5 years old, so at 5 years old it took a trip to Renault and had cambelt and aux belts replaced.So the MOT is due in September but will easily pass its next one, TAX is due in June.It has had a paint protection pack added to the bodywork and upholstery has been protected against stains.Very good condition, come and take a look.(Mileage will increase as is still being used) X | £3250.00 | |||||||
