There is a huge price difference as the extras vary greatly, Hi welcome to my auction for my Renault Megane I have owned for some time and I have never had any problems at all. Do not confuse this with any previous models or lower spec models it has extras you would not even get in newer luxury cars, really is a brilliant car with ace gadgets. Lots of car for the money! This is a brilliant 5 door family car with excellent space for passengers and a good sized boot. Excellent engine very smooth and economical (averages around 38mpg thats not motorway driving!) Coupled to a six speed gearbox makes it very economical and easy to drive. It is only just due its first service and It has only covered around 20k miles (may go up slightly) Not had its first MOT and not due for a while, has plenty of tax too. The dash is probably the best feature of the car very well built and everything is digital including speed display etc Extras on the car !! BUILT IN FULLY INTEGRATED BLUETOOTH, not only can you pick up calls with a touch of the steering wheel, it will store numbers and its a voice activated system, no wires needed at all! Also streams all your music straight through the speakers so no need for CD`s. This is way better than any other bluetooth sytems on other cars for example Audi which wont let you stream music. Full proper keyless entry unlike other cars. Just keep the key card in your bag/pocket and when you approach the car it will unlock automatically and you can turn the engine on with a start button. As soon as you walk away from teh car it locks! TPMS tyre pressure monitoring sytem, displays all the pressures and will automatically warn you when pressures get low and even better if you get a puncture. Excellent safety feature. Digital dual climate control which is excellent Half leather interior very comfy and easy tto clean. Rear Parking sensors Cruise control and speed limiter all digital and easy to use, can all be controlled via steering wheel Leather sports steering wheel with all controls Auto lights/Auto wipers will sense when to come on Daytime running lamps automatically come on during the day Front fog lamps Electrochromatic rear mirror dimms automatically Built in plug in for aux etc Full all round electric mirrors Electronic folding mirrrors wil close open when engine turns on/off ISOFIX Rear seat pack MP3/Acoustic windscreen ABS, traction control etc Plus much more Alloy wheels with still the original tyres The only optional extra missing is the excellent tomtom built in system. I actually have just recently bought a full sytem which I was going to get fitted. I can offer this at cost price to the winner. It is very easy to fit simply plug and play GRAB A BARGAIN LOOKING FOR QUICK SALE CHEAPEST ON THE NET !!!! NO RESERVE!! I have all the books/service books and log book present. Bad bits: Sadly cat d I bought it like this and no damage was to the front of the car at all. This was very light damage and no airbags replaced. Any inspection welcome. Has a scuff on rear and front bumper I can get pics of this. Rear parking sensors need attention as they have stopped working shouldnt be anything major. Yet now, thanks to Renault's vision and originality, the sector is one of the UK's largest and most successful. Its rapid growth has put the marque under pressure, especially since seven- seaters started arriving on the scene. The second-generation Scenic was launched in 2003 and spawned a seven-seat Grand variant, and to keep the model at the top of its game, the range has now been facelifted. Chief update is the addition of a new flagship diesel engine, the 2.0-litre dCi 150 already fitted to the Mégane, Laguna and Espace. Perhaps more importantly, it's also the first oil-burning Scenic to be available with an automatic gearbox. The six-speed self-shifter commands a hefty £1,000 premium, although the price does include a particulate filter, too. The common-rail unit itself is excellent - smooth, punchy and easily capable of coping with a full complement of passengers. Developing 340Nm at 2,000rpm, it delivers a 0-60mph time of 9.4 seconds, while a claimed combined economy figure of 48.7mpg is reassuring, too. The new engine isn't cheap, though. It's only available in Dynamique trim and above, and prices start at £19,415, rising to £22,415 for the automatic Grand variant. However, opting for the long-wheelbase model doesn't mean you have to have seven seats. In response to demand, the Grand can now be had as a five-seater, offering up to 1,960 litres of luggage room. But the Scenic's forte isn't so much space as versatility - few rivals are as thoughtfully designed and laid out inside. The radical driving environment works surprisingly well, while the huge glass area and low window line (plus £450 Panoramic roof on our test car) let in masses of light. There are plenty of cubbies, plus separate opening tailgate glass and individual sliding and folding rear seats. Renault has even developed Sleep Safe headrests in the back, which fold down to support young necks. It's this attention to detail as much as any new engines or transmissions that will keep the Scenic at the top of its game. Its 3E start-off rating raised eyebrows among the opposition as the Megane delivered the final blow of a devastating one-two attack by netting the ultimate five stars in the EuroNCAP crash tests.Oh, and let's not forget that it scooped the International Car of the Year award for 2003. Formidable, as the French say.The Megane demonstrates just how different it is with its amazing Renault Card, a gizmo that introduced technology never before seen in a mass-market car.Gone are the days of fumbling for a key, because the technology uses proximity sensors to detect the presence of the card on the owner's person - whether in a pocket or handbag - and unlocks the required door once the owner touches the door handle.Once inside the driver just has to press a button to start the engine and press it again to stop, thanks to sensors again detecting the presence of the card.This is the second generation of the Renault hands-free system, operated and proven on the Laguna. The Renault card system is fitted as standard on all top-of-the-range Privilege models and a £250 option on others.In terms of styling the new Megane is totally different to the previous model. From the front it is fairly conventional, but the rear features the strange wrap around style seen on the over-adventurous Avantime GT.Can't say I like the rear end styling - it looks somewhat waspish to me - but I am sure the no votes are outnumbered by the Renault fans who will drool over it.If the new Megane reminds me of anything from Renault's past it is the long defunct 16 of the early 70s - a large roomy hatchback with a silky smooth column change - a car I have always rated as one of the best Renaults ever.This test was my first experience of the new Megane and it was in a 1.9 Privilege dci model of 120bhp. First impressions were of a high level of equipment - class leading, in fact, throughout the range which costs from £10,500 to £15,700.But the biggest plus factor came when I was constantly looking at the fuel tank indicator and deciding it had gone wrong. It hardly moved during some long and heavy driving.
