have invoices for any additional work done on vehicle.There are a few minor scratch marks on the outside of the car and it does have a slightly damaged nearside wing mirror (shown in photo and mentioned in the MOT document), but it does not affect rear view.Electric windows and electric sunroof both work perfectly and the stereo has control from the steering wheel console.Huge boot space, plenty of space inside and will comfortably sit 3 people in the back. I have only had the car for a short while as I bought it for a run-around whilst I was inbetween jobs, but I now have a new company car and therefore don`t need this one anymore. It has been kept smoke free and pet free. It also has a Thatcham approved immobiliser which helps keep insurance premiums low.Lagunas are high on safety and reliability and the insurance is very reasonable too. The engine is in good condition for it`s age I`d say.But it failed it`s MOT and I was quoted £350 for the repairs and since I`m buying a motorbike I don`t want to spend any money on this vehicle.So someone can pick it up at a bargain price and maybe do the work themselves and they`ll have a nice car at a cheap price.First I`ll tell you what it failed on:O/S rear tyre needs to be replaced.N/S front CV gaiter is insecure, needs fastening up I guess.Both front suspension arm ball joints have to be replaced.N/S front track rod end has to be replaced.Now I`ll tell you what else is wrong with it:The front brakes need balancing.The N/S rear tyre is close to the legal limit.Probably need a new back box withing the next few months.The central locking works but not with the key as it should. You have to close the drivers door, make sure you`ve got the key in your hand, go to the passenger side, open that door, reach in and press the central locking button, and close the passenger door. It`s all locked up. Bit of a hassle but I got used to it.The air conditioning seems to work because it can get nice and cool in the car, but the blower only works on number 4 (highest setting). It needs a resister. Renault want £74 for that little thing so I just used setting number 4 but scrap yards will probably have them for a tenner.The dash has an area in the middle which is a bit tatty.The bonnet release cable sticks sometimes.It won`t play CDs in the morning. LOL. Sensitive to moisture or what I dunno. Later on it`s Ok. This was the thing that annoyed me the most.What`s good:Bodywork is pretty tidy.Drives perfectly and is very comfy.The fuel economy is Ok. It doesn`t guggle like some cars I`ve had of the same size.The interior is pretty good condition.No starting problems.All the electric windows and electric mirrors work Ok.Windscreen is fine.So there`s no MOT as you now know. Place your bid and we`ll do business that way. Thanks. I will admit I am actually gutted to be selling this car. I love to drive it and am only getting rid of it as I need a car with 5 doors and I`m not doing enough miles per year. This is a car that loves to be driven and I`m doing it no justice with my few thousand per year. I will be exceptionally sad to see it go.As you can see from the photos` it`s had a bit of a rough life (before I bought it that is). I bought it from a private seller in March 2010 who had no paperwork for it. From what I was told it had belonged to a couple that fell out and one kept the paperwork (I`m not sure I believed this) but it was checked and found to be legal, it had an mot and log book and so I bought it. It went straight to my mechanic for a full service and cambelt change (I can`t find the receipt for this anywhere, but I am sure the garage will have a record of it) it was him that told me it has at some point been in an accident. The result of this means the boot has a slight crease so to get the spare wheel out you need to deflate it slightly. He assured me, and the mechanic I now use also assured me the car was sound and the accident has caused no damage to the structure and safety of the car. There is also scratching to the bumpers front and back and a dent in the roof. It`s sailed through both the mot`s I`ve had on it since I bought it and is mot`d until the end of November this year. I did have an advisory with it that wasn`t a neccessity and my mechanic was charging me only £70 to get it done (I can`t remember what it was but am sure it was to do with a ball joint and I was told it didn`t really need doing). I do have the paperwork for this but not to hand as I type up this listing. I will dig it out and have it ready for whoever buys the car and when I dig it out I will add the advisories to the notes section.There are 3 other things you need to know. The other week the drivers side window decided to go down but not back up again. Apparently this is a fault with renaults and is cheap to fix but Ive not got round to doing it and so the glass is staying up thanks to some wedges holding it in place (see the photo in the gallery). The aircon has never worked since I bought the car. I was going to take it and see if it just needed a re-gas or replacement parts but the normal blowers work well enough and I opened the windows so never needed the aircon. The other thing is the gearbox. When the temperature is cold outside or damp, sometimes first gear won`t engage. It basically goes straight into 2nd and the light will shine on the dashboard. As soon as it then changes up to 3rd the light goes off and once the car warms up there is not a problem with it and the gear changes are smooth. The car has done this since the day I bought it and it`s never got any worse of better in that time. When really cold hitting the winter button next to the gear shift avoids the mis-engaging of first gear.Ooh. one last thing. The boot release button got stolen the other week so for now a long screw driver is needed to open the boot. Due to insurance reasons I cannot allow test driving of this car by the buyer. in Dec 2011 an it had this fault. It is a wonderful car but its a bit like russian roulette as to whether it will start when you go to it. Once it has started it will not cut out or leave you stranded. I have had this looked into by a garage. Clio have problems with crank sensors, and immobilisers that cause this problem. I have paid £100 for an immobiliser bypass and had another crank sensor put on it but its not helped. It really does have a mind of its own. It could be something simple but I canot get to the bottom of it. The ecu is not even showing any faults. The last owner has spent a lot of money on it as follows :- 1. New discs / pads / bearings - over £350 on a clio due to rear discs having built in bearings. 2. Fully serviced 3. I put a new mushroom induction kit on 4. Sports uprated clutch 5. The suspension has been upgraded but i dont know what with. Its certainly lower and handles amazingly 6. Aftermarket alloys all with excellent tyres (although the last female owner has scuffed them). 7. Fully working CD multichanger with steering wheel controls 8. Full HID headlight conversion (see pic - very pretty) - Bill for well over £100 9. MOT til 16th Aug 2012 and Tax to Sept 2012 10. Alternator rebuild 11. Telegraphs most crazy cars! Very rare colour apparently. 50000 miles. BAD POINT, although i thinks its a GOOD POINT! Its a CAT C write off back in 2004 (these cars get written off very very easily due to there handmade and very expensive parts price), its reshelled with a brand new shell in 2005 (receipted by DVLA) , insurance is not affected. Now the reason its good is because its been modded to a fantastic spec: PHASE 2 rear spoiler PHASE 2 subframes Full K-TEC coilovers set up by them aswell BMC carbon air filter Remapped DECAT sports exhaust sounds fantastic Full custom cream leather interior only done recently for £1200 dash included mars red stitching! This is asnew! Fully working AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!! Bodywork is ok no dents, paint ok. Has an MOT but no TAX. Now the car has no airbags so the light is on but i will supply the resistors to put in to turn the light off. Car runs great and goes well with its 230bhp. The clutch and six speed box is fine too.
